Salt and cold are what actually break cars here.

Every city has brake jobs. This one has four to five months a year of driving through brine, a freeze–thaw cycle that rebuilds the pavement every spring, and mornings cold enough to take a third of the cranking power out of a healthy battery. Almost everything we fix traces back to one of those three.

Salt & undercarriage inspection

  • Brake and fuel lines corrode where the clips hold salt against the tube. They fail without warning.
  • Batteries die in February because of what July did to them. Cold just presents the bill.
  • Struts, wheels and control arms take the pothole season, and March is our busiest month for them.
  • Heaters and defrosters stop being a comfort item the moment you cannot see out of the windshield.

Before you call

What areas do you cover?
All of Milwaukee County and eastern Waukesha County - the city of Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, West Allis, Greenfield, Oak Creek, Franklin, Glendale, South Milwaukee, Cudahy, St. Francis, Brookfield, New Berlin, Menomonee Falls and the city of Waukesha. One flat call-out everywhere, no zone pricing.
How much does it cost to get you out?
$79 flat. That covers the rollout, a full diagnostic scan and the first 30 minutes on the car. If you decline the repair, that is the whole bill. If you go ahead, it comes off the total.
Do I have to be there?
No. Plenty of customers leave a key and go to work. We photograph everything before and after, and anything unexpected gets approved by text before we do it.
Can you come out in the winter?
Winter is our busiest season by a distance - no-starts, batteries, starters, heaters and brake lines. We work in it. Cold weather does not close us.
Do you fix cars for emissions failures?
We can fix why it failed, but we cannot perform the test - Wisconsin emissions testing happens at Wisconsin Vehicle Inspection Program stations. We read the exact failure, repair it, and get the readiness monitors set so it passes the retest.
What is the warranty?
12 months or 12,000 miles on parts and labor, whichever comes first. If something we fitted fails inside that, we come back out and there is no second call-out charge.
What payment do you take?
Card, tap, or bank transfer. You get an itemised invoice with the parts listed individually - not a single line saying 'repair'.
What will you not do?
Transmission rebuilds in the field, engine replacement in a driveway, bodywork or paint. Those need a lift and a roof, and we will tell you that on the phone rather than after we have taken a deposit.
