A half-ton pickup that tows a boat to Big Muskego and back all summer is not living the same life as a commuter sedan, and it should not be maintained like one. Brakes get worked harder and glaze rather than simply wear. Transmission fluid actually matters, because towing is the duty cycle that cooks it. Cooling capacity gets tested in exactly the conditions where failure is most expensive.
None of that means more frequent everything. It means the right things more often - fluid, brakes and cooling - and the rest on the normal schedule.
Lots out here are big and driveways are long, which suits us. Bigger vehicles need more space, higher stands and more room to swing a bar, and Franklin gives us that on nearly every visit.
Three-quarter tons, work trucks and most RVs are all fine. Heavier commercial equipment is not - if you are unsure where your vehicle falls, describe it on the phone and we will tell you straight rather than turn up and discover it.
$79 flat call-out, diagnostic included, 7 days a week, 7am - 7pm. If you decline the repair that is the whole bill.
